Debate debate debate!

I don’t blame anyone for wanting to come to America even with our problems of crime, poverty, mental health, health care etc. You can name worse places I’m sure. Whether we see immigrants crossing our borders as a problem or not, the government Republicans, Democrats and most of our press are reporting it as a problem though they don’t agree on the solutions or the priorities. I would rather see us work on growing small businesses which encourages people, creates jobs, and lessens crime. I’d also like us to work on the mental health and the more serious drug problems.  The wars in the world are our problem whether we want them to be or not. How we react and be proactive are the important questions. We wouldn’t debate these things if there wasn’t a problem. Lord help us solve these issues. The debate is probably the most critical part of the solution. If a debate degrades into conflict nothing usually gets solved. A true debate can create a consensus, even though people don’t necessarily get things all their own way. Debate is the American way, and the way of any proper democracy.
