A Walk Around The Block

It is a short walk; at least in this little town. (one traffic light) (Maybe, not so little for around here.) There are many little towns around here. Little towns separated by miles of trees, pastures, cows, dogs, horses, deer, raccoons, possum, bugs, cotton fields, corn, soybeans, ponds, creeks, rivers, earth and sky, fences, farm houses, automobiles “moving” and “not moving” tall grass and weeds; especially around the “not moving” automobiles. Sunshine, (hot), Rain, (not), clouds, blue, and nothing new. Wind when needed and not. Relaxing. Slow. Sleepy. Non-stop work for some. Never ending plowing, planting, livestocking. Plenty of quiet: some real quiet; some relative quiet: (birds, dogs, tractors, trucks) Sundays are nice. This neighborhood?  Mostly quiet, as long as you don’t count the dogs. Kids are kids. Nice walk. Streets are paved. No sidewalks. Cars, few enough to walk in the street. Few enough to sneak up on you and be dangerous. Most streets so narrow, the cars go slow. (one lane). There is only about a half dozen streets here. Good for dog walking. Exercise walking. Radio listening walking. Jogging, (yeah right). Enjoyable, (always).
