My Mom

My mom is an inspiration to me. She stayed at home when I was young and raised four kids without the luxury of a car, or even a driver’s license. When I was a teenager my mom started working as a teacher’s aid and substitute teacher. I being the youngest was the last child to get a driver’s license. My mom then felt it was time to get her driver’s license and start college. By the time I had finished high school she had a degree, was teaching sixth grade, and continuing her education for her master’s degree. Twenty-three years have passed since her first days in college. Now she has retired and traveled to many countries and done much missionary work. She will be seventy years young in November, is still on the go, and has the newest computers, cell phones, Internet access, etc. She has taught me that it’s never too late to learn, and to fulfill and accomplish your dreams.
