Cheer Up!
Sing out loud or hum a tune or keep it to yourself.
Even as you do your chores smile like an elf.
Lend a helping hand and be a Johnny on the spot.
Be like your dog thinks you are even if you’re not.
The Boy Scouts taught me something I never will forget.
Repeat it often try and be the best that you’ve been yet.
A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
To memorize the law of Scouts wasn’t all that hard.
I learned a whole lot more in life by joining the Coast Guard.
It’s easy to say all of this and very hard to live it.
It’s even harder if you give it up or worse if you just quit.
Life will take you past a lot of doors you should ignore.
I pray your paths will take you straight on to the rightful door.
