Journalism is a powerful form of communication affecting everything from casual conversation to social media and politics. Lies become truth to some people with disastrous results. Dutifully investigated truthful journalism has the potential to improve and solve many of the world’s problems. Informed people are willing to invest in children by providing first class well-rounded education. Teaching parenting skills will eventually produce well-informed good parents. Negativity in journalism is also destructive. Stay positive in a negative environment. Seek truth. Attitudes are directly influenced by communications. Poorly chosen words affect others as rapidly as well chosen words. We are not alone in the world. If we think we can be than we are lying to ourselves. Our future is molded by the words we choose. Journalists please choose them based on truth and wisdom instead of money, notoriety, convenience, or power. Thank you.
