The world has always had war and disease
I’m not sure it’s actually worse.
That is unless you happen to be
the one laying down in a hearse.
There are more people than ever before,
by percentage things might be better.
For some of these things they’ve found a new cure
and other things might not change ever.
Technology fixes are double edged swords,
sometimes it seems we’re regressing.
Good is still strong and will win in the end,
not all of the news is depressing.
